This is a Binder Cover that I designed for the National Board of Directors Meeting at the AYSO National Office. The photo collage of Washington D. C. monuments represent where the National Annual General Meeting would be for that year. I also added a stone soccer ball to Lincoln's foot to more establish a feeling of soccer.
These are a few posters that I created from concept to completion for my current employer the American Youth Soccer Organization. The concept behind these posters is to put the viewer into the image. As the viewer looks into the poster they immediately imagine themselves as the subject. These will be used all over the United States where ever there is AYSO soccer. Keep an eye out!
This is an ad that I designed to go in the inside cover of the AYSO supply center catalog. The goal of the page was to gain volunteer awareness of the 40th anniversary of girls playing soccer in AYSO, and the 20th anniversary of the Very Important Player program for developmentally disabled children. It was a celebratory kind of design and I was able to have fun with it implementing images from the past and present.
I designed this flyer for an AYSO region that needed it for a food drive they were having for Halloween. This was a fun item to design because it allowed me to branch away from the standard corporate look that we usually use when designing for the National Office.
This is a brochure that I designed and produced for the University of Iowa college radio station ''KRUI''. My objective was to give the look to the brochure that captured the feel of the radio station and to display underwriting package information to potential advertisers. This was a freelance project that I did for the marketing department at KRUI.
I designed this logo for an employee engagement company ''Ingaugement.'' Business use this company in efforts to get a better performance from their employees and to diminish the amount of false sick days and that sort of thing. This was a freelance project through a company called the Bijnor Group out of Des Moines, Iowa. You can view this logo live at www.Ingaugement.com
I designed and produced this calendar in an advanced typography class at the University of Iowa. The objective of the assignment was to make a functional calendar that was unlike any traditional calendar. I made my calendar to revolve between two dowels to create a sense of pas, present and future. A person can see by the thickness of the roll how far they have gone in a given year and how far they have to go. I have the months listed on the first day of every month and they are color coded as well to help distinguish between months. The Summer months hold warm colors and winter months hold much cooler colors.
The objective of this typography project was to make a booklet that illustrated six different typefaces and their versatility. I displayed examples of different weights and styles on there for each face as well as a descriptive paragraph about the designer that designed it.
At the University of Iowa I was chosen to be one of ten initial students to test a new class called problems in graphic design. I was selected because I was thought to be a good choice by my professors. The class focused on doing free design work for businesses around the area that could not otherwise afford the work. I worked with a small team of students to come up with this identity system for "Taproot," a local daycare business.
I designed this simple website in a web class that I took while at the University of Iowa. This is where I first started to learn basic fundamentals html and css. I have come a lot further since this. In this website I created three pages for three different designers. I included a biography underneath each designer. I also included a sidebar navigation system to the left of them. I am working to get more examples of my web work on my portfolio, but for now my portfolio itself is a good example of what kind of experience I have as well as my blog. (www.glazefolio.com/blog)
In the summer of 2006 I worked at Medicap Pharmacie's corporate office in West Des Moines, Iowa. My job functions included designing creative work requested by franchisees all over the nation. In this presentation you see a donation card that people could purchase in one particular store, a counter mat that was part of a Halloween campaign, and a billboard that I designed.
At the University of Iowa's Memorial Union there are monitors hanging in various places throughout the building. Part of my responsibility as a designer at IMU Marketing and Design were to design current and fresh "Axis TV Slides" to display throughout the Union. This is an example of a slide that I prepared for display. The goal was to make students aware of the IMU Twitter account in order to gain a larger follower base.
The Tech Connection sub store of the University of Iowa Book Store is a liscensed Mac dealer. I designed these posters to advertise both products and software available for purchase. These particular signs were displayed in the Old Capitol Mall and the Iowa Memorial Union. All of them were 22"x28"
