I put this pen idea together for the Hugo Bustamante Playership Fund program that AYSO provides. I mocked it up in adobe illustrator using 3d revolving and image mapping techniques to accurately show how the pen would look after production.
I designed this promotional mark for the fourth of July. It was a difficult project in that I was supposed to update the mark around the old logo. My struggle was to add new content and text without competing with the logo. The red rays and text held within is my contribution. It was used on tshirts, a table skirt, soccer balls and a sticker.
These are a few posters that I created from concept to completion for my current employer the American Youth Soccer Organization. The concept behind these posters is to put the viewer into the image. As the viewer looks into the poster they immediately imagine themselves as the subject. These will be used all over the United States where ever there is AYSO soccer. Keep an eye out!
I was one of ten students in the design program at the University of Iowa to be invited into a class called Problems in Graphic Design the first semester it was offered. The focus of the class was to do free design work for businesses around the area. I worked with my group to come up with an identity system for this local daycare business called Taproot.
This is a brochure that I designed for our college radio station. My objective was to design a brochure that captured the feel of the radio station and conveyed underwriting information packages. This was a freelance project that I did for the marketing department at KRUI.
I designed this logo for a company called Ingaugement. It is an employee engagement program that a business can uy to engage their employees in their work and compel them to perform better. I did this freelance through a firm called the Bijnor Group out of Des Moines, Iowa. Please click on the link under the image to view the logo live.
The objective of this college project was to illustrate six different typefaces and their versatility. I put examples of different weights and styles for each face and a descriptive paragraph about the designer who designed the face.
I designed this set of Gill Sans playing cards while in college. The objective was to design playing cards in a different way than we had seen them. They still had to function as a deck of cards, and that was the only restriction. Because Gill Sans is one of my favorite faces I chose it to be the theme for my cards.
This is a website that I designed in my creating web sites class. For this project we were supposed to choose three designers and make web pages about them. I added an about section as well as linking them to their respective personal web sites in order to achieve the goals of the assignment. I made all of the designer pages link to each other as well. I also designed my own website and wordpress blog (http://www.glazefolio.com/ (http://www.glazefolio.com/blog).
The objective of this project was to make a CD box set and to try and add elements that made it unique. The idea that I had was to mirror the artist in his box set. The collage on the outside represents Townes Van Zandt's wild nature while the structure and simplicity of the inside as well as the natural beauty of wood represents the beautiful music that he created.
I designed and produced this calendar in an Advanced Typography class in college. The assignment was to make a functional calendar that was unlike any traditional calendar. I designed my calendar to roll between two dowels to create a sense of past, present and future. A person can see by the thickness of the role how far they have gone in a given year and how far they have to go. I have the months listed on the first day of every month and they are color coded for ease of use.
